Framingham Cosmetic Dentistry - RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY: WHY CROWN & BRIDGE PRE-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS & INFORMATION

Crown / Bridge Temporaries Instructions:

Before

After

Your tooth has been prepared for a crown and a temporary has been placed to protect your tooth.

1) Avoid sticky foods, as the temporary might come off.
2) Keep the temporary clean by brushing and rinsing the area with warm salt water.
3) If the temporary does come off, please return to our office as quickly as possible for re-cementation.
4) If you are unable to get to our office, please place Vaseline in temporary and put back on your tooth to prevent sensitivity.
5) Slight sensitivity is normal and, if needed, over-the-counter pain relief medications can be taken, i.e.; aspirin or Tylenol.
6) If pain is severe, return to our office as quickly as possible.
